At 29 weeks pregnant, mother may have feeling of impatience while imagining that how her baby looks like and wished for having early labor time. But next few weeks are very critical for baby development in the womb as baby lays down plump stores which will keep him hot from the outer world and for independent breathing her lungs goes mature.
Development in 29th Week Pregnancy
Baby now can blink and also focus. She may perhaps be capable to view shadow and the outlines of shapes of the outer world. A coating of fat is going to build up which is used for heat and liveliness at birth time under his skin. Her lungs continued to build up and he is going to grow at a speed of around 1 cm every week.
Appearance in 29th Week Pregnancy
Baby’s head is in ratio of her arms and legs. The greasy deposits in her skin provide less crumpled look. The baby has not developed the fleshy appearance of a full-term infant but seemed like far less ‘prune-like’ than earlier. The system tiny blood vessels under the skin cannot be visible as the skin is thicker.
Movement in 29th Week Pregnancy
At 29 weeks pregnant, The mother should have the feeling of at least ten movements per day as there is still have much space for the baby to move. She may not be able to dive as before but can turn in uterus and will be energetic often when you want to sleep.
‘Small for dates’ offspring (also called retarded fetal development, little for developmental age or intrauterine expansion constraint) is mostly noticed at this period.
If baby is seemed to be lesser than the expected for his growth then some ultrasounds or scans may be recommended to observe her growth. Antenatal test are also advised. To make sure that baby is functioning properly a scan is suggested that looks at the blood flow through the placenta to the infant.

Pregnant women have reported following pregnancy symptoms in week 29:
- Breast tenderness and fullness and darkening of areola
- Frequent/Regular Urination
- Stretch Marks and Itching
- Constipation, Indigestion and Headaches
- Round Ligament Pains
