At 27 weeks pregnant, the weight of your baby is somewhere around 1 kilogram. Your baby may be lying at transverse or even bottom-down position at this point. From now on, your baby will take a usual head-down position at any time in a preparation of labor. Normally, your baby takes this position in the final weeks. She still has enough space to make movements.
Development in 27th Week Pregnancy
Different organs of your baby continue to mature such as bones, muscles, as well as nervous system, lungs, digestive system etc. in case your baby is born at this very point, she has 85 percent chances of survival.
However, she needs to be kept under strict medical attention with ventilator on as her lungs are yet not mature. At 27 weeks pregnant, the eyes of your baby are no more fused shut. She can open and blink her eyes now. Except for being thin and small, she looks similar to a newborn baby.

Usually, the sleeping and waking patterns of both yours and your baby hardly coincide with each other. If they do so, then it would be a great advantage to you. Research says that your daytime activities work as lulls to your baby and she falls asleep during day time and when your resting time starts, the baby wakes up and start her exercising and stretching which is vital for her growth.
